Valley of the butterflies

The butterfly valley is located just 6,7 km away from the hotel. The valley of the butterflies is an idyllic small paradise with  beautiful lakes, small waterfalls and wooden bridges creating an atmosphere of euphoric serenity.
Moreover, if you go through the whole forest you will also discover a monastery with an astonishing view.
It is unique for two reasons : a) for the rare European trees called Liquidambar Orientalis composing the natural forest and b) for it’s alluring "guests".
This marvelous flora hosts a fauna of a very special kind of butterflies called  Jersey tiger (Panaxia Quadripunctaria), a nocturnal colorful moth with shades of red,white and black.
The butterflies nestle in the unique park for a limited period of time starting from May to late September.
